Athletics
It is the District's objective to develop athletes who exhibit good citizenship, sportsmanship and scholarship.
Hampton offers 25 interscholastic programs for grades 7th - 12th: Football, Boys' Soccer, Girls' Soccer, Boys' Cross Country, Girls' Cross Country, Golf, Boys' Tennis, Girls' Tennis, Volleyball, Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Boys' Swimming and Diving, Girls' Swimming and Diving, Girls' Gymnastics, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Coed Track and Field, Boys' Lacrosse and Girls' Lacrosse and Competative Spirit. In addition there are seven Club Sports: Crew, Ice Hockey, Slow Pitch Softball, In-line Hockey, Martial Arts Club, Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf.
The purpose of athletics in the Hampton Township School District program is to provide the maximum degree of student-athlete participation. The District strives to provide the student-athlete with the proper facilities, equipment and qualified coaches in all sports.
The Interscholastic Athletic Program is authorized by and funded through the Hampton Township Board of School Directors. The task of organizing and operating the program is delegated through the Superintendent, the High School Principal, the Athletics Director and other designated staff members.
Hampton's Interscholastic Athletic Program is operated in accordance with the rules of the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League, a subsidiary of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.

Girls' LAX Wins WPIAL 1st Round Playoff Game
Our girls lacrosse team defeated Ellis on Friday, May 17 7 - 4 and move on to the semi-finals on Tuesday, May 21. They will take on Shaler at 7:30 pm at Chartiers Valley High School stadium.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students and will be sold at the game. Good luck girls!

Track & Field in WPIAL Championships Results
Following are medalists from the WPIAL Championship meet at Baldwin High School on Thursday, May 16. The top four finishers in each event qualify for the PIAA Championships May 24-25 at Shippensburg University. Those who finish in fifth through eighth place must meet qualifying standards, which are in parentheses next to each event. Congratulations!

Hampton Baseball WPIAL Class AAA Section 5 Champions
Hampton's baseball team claimed the WPIAL AAA Section 5 championship with a 9 - 2 victory against Highlans on Thursday, May 2. Congratulations to the team!

Girls Track Team Section Champions
Congratulations to the girls track team for clinching the WPIAL AAA Section 4 section title!

Noah Shulman 2012-2013 WPIAL Scholar Athlete
Congratulations to senior Noah Shulman who was a top ten finalist for the 2012/2013 WPIAL scholar athlete award. He received a shadowbox plaque which is emblematic of an outstanding high school career and testimony to the positive school climate necessary to achieve this level of success. He was also awarded a stipend in the amount of $500 designed to benefit his pursuit of higher education.

Andy DeMichiei Breaks LAX School Record
Senior Andy DeMichiei broke the school record at the lacrosse game Monday, April 15 vs. Fox Chapel. He also recorded his 300th career point with a game winning goal in overtime against Pine Richland on April 17. For his career to date, Andy has 171 goals and 129 assists.Congratulations Andy!!

Sara Pilarski Voted Western Pennsylvania’s “Most Positive High School Athlete”, "Female Athlete of the Year"/Signs Letter of Intent to Seton Hill University
Hampton High School’s Senior Sara Pilarski has been voted Western Pennsylvania’s “Most Positive High School Athlete” , "Female Athlete of the Year" by Positive Athlete, an organization created by former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward.
Sara was presented the award by Mr. Ward, along with 27 other winners representing a variety of boys and girls sports in a ceremony at the Senator John Heinz History Center and Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum in downtown Pittsburgh on Saturday, April 20. WPXI Sports Anchor Rich Walsh and MSA Sports’ Don Rebel served as the Masters of Ceremony.
Sara was also voted "Pick Five" by Post Gazette writer Brad Everett "Bradleys", his take on who provided the best performances among North area Schools. Sara's 16.6 ppg helped Hampton go undefeated in Class AAA Section 1.
She was also voted WPIAL Class AAA Section 1 All-section team.
Sara signed a Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Seton Hill University.

Senior Christine McGrath Scores her 200th Goal
Varsity lacrosse player Christine McGrath scored her 200th Goal against Fox Chapel on Thursday evening. She has 200 goals and 48 assists for varsity career, 248 points. Way to go Christine!

Hampton Basketball 2013 Summer Camps
Hampton teachers and coaches Joe Lafko and Mary Bukovac are sponsoring a variety of Summer Basketball Camps for boys and girls entering grades 1 through 9 starting June 17. All the camps will take place at Hampton High School.

2013 Hampton Summer Flag Football League
The Hampton football staff and players are sponsoring a summer Flag Football League for students entering grades 3 through 6 in the fall. The camp will be held every Tuesday starting June 25 through July 30 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Fridley Field Stadium.
